Black Swamp Arts Council
History
Founded in 1999, the Black Swamp Arts Council is a not-for-profit arts organization that serves Northwest Ohio and the surrounding tri-state region.
Mission
We offer a wide range of arts opportunities for all ages, such as classes, Arts Camps, performances, concerts, exhibits, special events, and summer arts scholarships. BSAC often partners with local schools and other arts, and community organizations to bring you quality, affordable creative experiences. Our goal is to enthusiastically promote the visual, performing and literary arts in our area and make them accessible to everyone.
The Black Swamp Arts Council has connected tens of thousands of people to the arts through exhibits, classes, Creative Arts Camps, the Holiday Art Market, Toledo Symphony Orchestra Concerts for all ages and community events.
Recently, the Black Swamp Arts Council was donated a store front in historic downtown Archbold. After extensive renovation through grants and private donors, a permanent home was created to expand art access even further. The Art Center typically showcases different exhibits every 6 weeks and offers consistent art classes for all ages.
