Black Swamp Arts Center
Art Center
In 2024, the Black Swamp Arts Council was gifted a storefront building in historic Archbold, allowing us to finally realize a long-held dream of creating a permanent home for exhibits, classes, and creative community programming. The newly established Black Swamp Art Center underwent extensive renovations and accessibility updates to create welcoming spaces for artists and visitors of all abilities. Today, the facility includes a dedicated ceramics studio with kiln and classroom space, along with a spacious gallery for local and regional exhibitions.
Thanks to the support of grants and private donors, we have continued expanding access to the arts throughout our community. The Black Swamp Art Center now features rotating exhibitions approximately every six weeks, alongside ongoing art classes and workshops for all ages. In just our first two years, we have welcomed more than 2,000 unique visitors, participated in over 40 community events, and provided creative learning opportunities to thousands of adults and children.
